Job Summary
Design and develop scalable, maintainable backend services, APIs, and integration components for the COMPASS platform. Implement microservices, manage database optimization, and develop data processing and analytics services. Integrate with upstream and downstream systems, apply security best practices, and implement monitoring and logging features. Troubleshoot application issues, support testing and deployment operations, and write clean, documented code with peer reviews. Collaborate with frontend teams and stakeholders on Agile ceremonies to deliver technical solutions. This 12-month fixed-term role in Singapore requires Python, Node.js, or Java proficiency along with AWS and Kubernetes experience.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in backend software development and building enterprise-grade applications
- Strong programming proficiency in at least one of: Python, Node.js, Java
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices, and backend integration services
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including query optimization, and data integrity management
- Experience working with message queues, event-driven architectures, and system integration
- Knowledge of software design patterns, enterprise application architecture, and secure coding practices
- Experience developing and deploying cloud-native application on AWS
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development practices
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
