Job Summary
Senior Backend Developer responsible for developing, testing and maintaining software applications; collaborates with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software; provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers; champions best practices for performant, available, reliable, and secure software; builds highly scalable and reliable products, including streaming video/content delivery to millions of users; contributes to end-to-end development lifecycle including analysis, implementation, testing, and operation; embraces new technologies and fosters knowledge sharing within cross-functional feature teams; supports a hybrid working model.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, NodeJS, or Go
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes
- Knowledge of automated testing tools (Cucumber, Gatling, JMeter)
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a collaborative environment
- Strong communication skills in English
- Willingness to contribute to code quality, performance, and reliability
- Experience developing APIs and working on backend systems
- Experience with building scalable, highly available services (99.999% availability)
- Familiarity with streaming video/content delivery architectures (desired)
- Mentorship or leadership experience in engineering teams
