Job Summary
Backend Developer to build scalable Java-based applications across fintech, blockchain, well-being, navigation, and e-learning projects. You will develop and maintain server-side components using Java with Spring/Spring Boot/Micronaut, design and optimize databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and contribute to the DevOps pipeline. Opportunities to give workshops or talks to other developers are available. The role emphasizes code quality, testing, and thorough documentation within a global team (Europe and the US region). The position requires 3+ years of Java experience, a STEM degree, and fluency in Hungarian and English.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Java experience (server-side development)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field
- Adequate knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot / Micronaut
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Solid understanding of multi-threaded Java programming
- Strong emphasis on testing and documentation in delivering high-quality solutions
- Fluency in Hungarian and English
