Job Summary
As a Backend Developer, you will design and build quality software solutions using Java/J2EE and the Spring framework, collaborating closely with tech leads and architects. Key responsibilities include developing web services, database schemas, and PL/SQL stored procedures while adhering to project standards and participating in code reviews. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 3 years of technical experience, and strong skills in API design and multi-layer architecture. Familiarity with financial services and agile project environments is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology, Information Systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on technical experience.
- Proven hands-on experience with API design and development of multi-layer architecture using Java/J2EE solutions and Spring framework.
- Design and develop web services, database schema, PL/SQLs, stored procedures, and transactional SQL within DB2/Oracle databases.
- Hands-on in GIT and branching strategies.
- Adhering code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing completeness.
- Strong team player that thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven technical skills as an individual contributor.
- Ability to learn with minimal guidance.
- Experience in the financial services industry, preferably in the Mutual Fund environment.
