Backend Developer

Job Summary
Backend Developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Python-based backend services and REST APIs. Focus areas include data ingestion, normalization, enrichment, and processing workflows; working with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other backend infrastructure; implementing authentication/authorization, API security, and observability; collaborating with frontend developers to deliver reliable data to the UI; and contributing to architecture, testing, deployment, and technical documentation. Must be proficient in Python and frameworks (Flask/FastAPI/Django) and comfortable with Docker, Linux, Git, and CI/CD practices; ideal candidate will understand data flows, system reliability, and secure-by-design backend engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Python
- Experience with Flask, FastAPI, or Django
- Good understanding of REST API design
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of database design
- Experience with Docker and Linux environments
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Understanding of authentication, JWT, RBAC, and API security principles
- Experience with background jobs, workers, queues, schedulers, Redis, Celery, or similar technologies
