Job Summary
Backend Developer role based in Zürich, delivering mission-critical financial platforms with a focus on performance, security, and scalability. Develops in C# or Java, drives containerization with Kubernetes, builds robust backend services and APIs, collaborates with traders and stakeholders, participates in Agile ceremonies, ensures code quality through reviews and CI/CD, integrates core systems with third-party services, provides production support, and contributes to frontend improvements with JavaScript/React as a strong plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years in backend development
- Expert proficiency in C#; solid experience in Java
- MS SQL Server and MongoDB with performance tuning and data modeling
- RabbitMQ experience; API design with gRPC and GraphQL
- Agile (Scrum/Kanban) experience
- Cloud-native development on Microsoft Azure; Docker and Kubernetes
- Code reviews, CI/CD, and engineering best practices
