Job Summary
Backup Administrative Coordinator at Sprouts Farmers Market supports in-store accounting procedures to meet financial reporting requirements. In the absence of the Administrative Coordinator, you handle cash and funds control per Sprouts policies, and you verify the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings for business transactions completed by others. The role requires detail orientation, confidentiality due to frequent access to sensitive material, and strong numerical aptitude. Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word, along with general office equipment operation, is expected. The position emphasizes flexibility to work a changing schedule including weekends and holidays, and the ability to cover absences as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma at a minimum; associate degree in business or accounting preferred
- Be dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Be detail-oriented and capable of recognizing errors
- Be responsible for cash handling and security in the office area; prepare daily and weekly sales and cash reports
- Maintain integrity and confidentiality; meet customer service standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
- Strong aptitude for numbers; ability to operate calculator and general office equipment
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word; knowledge of specialized bookkeeping/accounting software
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multitask
- Maintain knowledge of office procedures relating to cash reports and deposits
- Availability to cover Administrative Coordinator absences; ability to work weekends
- Execute other duties as needed
