Job Summary
Prepare patients for examination and assist optical professionals in providing eye treatments. Collect and document chief complaints, verify health histories, and obtain informed consents. Perform refractions, visual acuity assessments, intraocular pressure tests, fundus photography, and visual field tests. Administer topical medications and dilation drops while maintaining sterile exam rooms. Take Fundus photos, perform Flourescein Angiogram and Indocyanine Green Angiography procedures, and provide written patient education. File forms, update the CareCoud/EMR system, and drive patients in a company vehicle when assigned. Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations while prioritizing patient flow and communication.
Required Qualifications
- High School education, GED or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- Ability to travel to other clinics as assigned
- Ability to lift and/or carry reports, records and other materials that typically weigh less than 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the Ophthalmic or Optometric Industry
- Experience as a Back Office Technician
- Certified Ophthalmic Technician
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
- Valid Driver's License (based on clinic location)
