Job Summary
Back Office Coordinator to support the Office Manager in operations for facilities with 5+ physicians; responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality, developing and implementing clinical policies, supervising back-office staff, monitoring nursing certifications, managing pharmaceutical handling systems, scheduling staff meetings, assisting in coding, training MAs, interviewing applicants, leading back-office staff to optimize patient flow and service quality, and supporting clinic efficiency in a Methodist Health System network.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years in a back office within a medical setting or two years nursing experience
- Strong communication skills with judgement and discretion
- Confidentiality in handling medical information
- Experience with scheduling and coordinating back-office activities
- Familiarity with clinical policies and procedures
- Knowledge of nursing staff education and certification monitoring
- Experience in pharmaceutical handling systems and compliance
- Ability to train MA staff and provide orientation materials
- Ability to participate in interviewing applicants and support hiring decisions
- Experience leading back-office staff and ensuring patient flow and high-quality service
- Ability to monitor education certifications for compliance
- Proficiency in problem solving and collaborative teamwork
