Job Summary
Back of House Shift Leader responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily kitchen operations, coaching team members, and ensuring high standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency. Leads shifts, opens/closes the kitchen, and serves as a role model to foster a positive, professional, and high-urgency environment. Requires experience in a high-volume kitchen, strong communication, teamwork, and alignment with Chick-fil-A values. First uniform cost is the employee's responsibility; role emphasizes training, inventory checks, and end-of-day kitchen reporting to maintain operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred (Shift Lead, Crew Lead, Supervisor, Team Lead, Restaurant Manager, or Assistant Manager)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with kitchen team members and leadership
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment and make quick, informed decisions
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive attitude
- Commitment to Chick-fil-A’s values and mission
- Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor with team members at all times
- Strong people skills with a desire to support, train, and develop kitchen team members
- Reliable transportation
- Commitment to maintaining superior food quality, safety, and operational standards
- Ability to address team member behavioral and performance issues professionally and constructively
