Job Summary
Back of House Manager responsible for leading store BOH operations in Ottawa, including managing inbound deliveries, preparing outbound transfers, overseeing the stockroom, and ensuring inventory accuracy and efficiency per company standards. Drives daily e-commerce fulfillment (picking/packing/shipping), coordinates with customer service and support office, reduces shrinkage through inventory discrepancy resolution, manages store supplies, and fosters a positive, inclusive, and development-focused team environment. Requires 3+ years in stockroom/distribution and 2+ years of people leadership, strong communication, urgency, and analytical skills, and full-time availability with flexible schedule including early starts, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Reports to the Store Manager with a dotted line to JD Canada BOH Manager and emphasizes adherence to company guidelines and ongoing staff development.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years stockroom and/or distribution center experience
- 2+ years people management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and task oriented
- Must have a high sense of urgency
- Full time availability – standard daily starts as early 8am, including late nights, weekends, and holidays in line with changing business needs
- Proven experience supervising, training and developing team members
- Strong cognitive and mathematical skills, including problem analysis, decision making and financial analysis
- High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
