Job Summary
Back-End Java Developer needed to join a high-performing team shaping the modernization of geolocation products for the warfighter. Responsibilities include full-stack software development predominantly using Java to enhance existing capabilities, collaborating in an agile environment to analyze requirements and derive user stories, performing integration and testing, debugging applications, and providing tier 2/3 support. The role requires working both individually and as part of a team, with emphasis on Enterprise Java development, service-oriented architectures, and microservices. Desired experience includes Spring Framework, Elasticsearch, IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, VS Code), Agile practices, Jira/Confluence, GitLab, container technologies (Docker/Podman), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana). A TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required, along with a Bachelor’s degree and substantial SWE experience. The position offers compensation in the $140k–$170k range and benefits, with locations based in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Enterprise Java development
- Experience developing service-oriented architectures
- Experience developing micro service solutions
- Database experience such as Mongo or MySQL
- Knowledge of parameters and values represented in cellular communications
- Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
