Job Summary
Own and perform maintenance and feature enhancements across an array of projects while working with the product and engineering team to navigate Barstool's complex environment. Design REST APIs that power the cross-platform experience for users and editorial staff, ensuring stable, high-quality code for high-traffic production environments. Maintain unit and integration tests and stay current with cutting-edge technologies, including serverless architecture and Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- NodeJS/TypeScript
- MongoDB, MySQL, Snowflake
- Experience writing stable high-quality code for high-traffic production environments
- Designing REST APIs that other devs enjoy using
- Up-to-date knowledge of Cloud Vendors (AWS or GCP)
- Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks (we use Serverless)
- 2+ years of engineering experience in Javascript/TypeScript
- Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
- Self-motivated and able to efficiently run with a project without close supervision
- Ability to work well with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills — you should be able to clearly articulate your decisions

- Knowledge of serverless architecture is a plus
