Job Summary
Design, implement, and document back-end services for the Bilt mobile app and website while coaching junior resources and collaborating with stakeholders. Investigate Google Cloud Platform services to improve application architecture, implement microservices using Java and Quarkus, and propose automation initiatives for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and monitoring. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle by writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code. Drive best practices and ensure technical feasibility of integrations to optimize the application for speed, scalability, and reliability. Become a foundational team member working alongside the Head of Engineering and Head of Product to transform the future of renting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience
- Proven hands-on Software Development experience
- Demonstrable experience in Java development
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS or Azure
- Great interpersonal skills and a team player
- Flexibility - we are disrupting an industry, so changes to traditional processes should be expected
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the start-up world is preferred
