Job Summary
Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain the server-side logic of applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security of back-end services while integrating with front-end and third-party systems. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining back-end services, APIs, and databases; building scalable systems; implementing security practices; optimizing performance; collaborating with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements; managing database schemas and migrations; writing clean, maintainable, and testable code; participating in code reviews, system architecture, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Backend Developer or Software Engineer
- Proficiency in at least one back-end language and framework (Node.js/Express, Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), Java (Spring Boot), or Ruby on Rails)
- Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis)
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and security principles
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
