Back End Developer ZA 5

Back End Developer role focusing on designing, building, and maintaining server-side logic to ensure high performance, scalability, and security of back-end services. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining APIs and databases, building scalable systems for high-volume requests, implementing data protection practices, optimizing performance and troubleshooting, collaborating with front-end developers and stakeholders, managing database schemas and migrations (SQL/NoSQL), writing clean and testable code, participating in code reviews and technical documentation, and contributing to system architecture. Requires experience in a backend language/framework (Node.js/Express, Python/Django/Flask/FastAPI, Java/Spring Boot, or Ruby on Rails), strong database knowledge (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB/Redis), RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, cloud familiarity (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), understanding of system design, security, and CI/CD, and strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
