Job Summary
Backend Developer role focused on designing, building, and maintaining server-side logic for applications. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining back-end services, APIs, and databases; building scalable systems to handle high volumes of requests; implementing security and data protection practices; optimizing performance and troubleshooting; collaborating with frontend developers and stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements; managing database schemas, queries, and migrations using SQL and/or NoSQL databases; writing clean, maintainable, and testable code; contributing to code reviews, system architecture, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Backend Developer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role
- Proficiency in at least one back-end language and framework such as Node.js/Express, Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), Java (Spring Boot), or Ruby on Rails
- Strong knowledge of databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and security principles
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
