Job Summary
The Studio Guide at Glowbar in Boston serves as the front-facing touchpoint, handling check-ins/outs, appointment scheduling, and client communications via phone, email, and text while ensuring a clean, organized studio environment. Responsibilities include managing waitlists, rebooking post-service, handling phone/email/text inquiries, coordinating appointments and cancellations, performing laundry and towel service, studio cleaning/organization, and field marketing support. The role also involves selling memberships and packages with performance-based incentives, meeting or exceeding sales goals, and delivering a warm, engaging client experience. Candidates should be energetic, customer-focused, punctual, and capable of standing for extended periods. The position requires weekend availability and various AM/PM shifts, with full-time or part-time options, and a strong emphasis on hospitality and skincare knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of hospitality experience (e.g., restaurant, retail, hotel, salon/spa) with a proven track record of superior customer service
- Passion for hospitality and servicing customers
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varied weekday shifts
- Full-Time: 5 days open availability or Part-Time: 3 days open availability (including one weekend day) or Weekend Only: Saturday & Sunday availability every week
- Knowledge of salon/spa standards, policies, and procedures
- Forward-thinking problem solver with compassion for clients
- Enthusiasm for beauty, skincare, and continuous learning
