Job Summary
Lead and manage the daily operations of the sample preparation team, overseeing sample treatment and weighing, ensuring sample accuracy, traceability, and integrity. Drive updates and expansions of laboratory capabilities to meet testing and client needs. Ensure compliance with HSE and ISO 17025 Quality Management System requirements, investigate sample-preparation–related issues or complaints, and support corrective actions. Manage, train, and develop staff and perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Food Technology or related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience at Eurofins or 3 years elsewhere; strong knowledge of sample homogenization, weighing for physicochemical tests, operation of laboratory equipment, and familiarity with ISO 17025 and regulatory standards; proficiency in English for technical documents and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Food Technology or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in same field at Eurofins, or 3 years of experience outside Eurofins of the same field
- Strong knowledge of sample homogenization and weighing requirements for physicochemical tests
- Master the principles and operations of laboratory equipments
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 and applicable regulatory standards
- Have skills in synthesizing, analyzing, problem solving and resolving customer complaints
- Language: English reading comprehension of specialized documents
- Ability to communicate and train staff
- Ability to manage, train and develop personnel
