Job Summary
Design complex sub-assemblies and product modules while driving DFMEA processes and resolving root causes for assigned NPI programs. Develop product concepts, quantify technical feasibility and cost impacts, and lead collaborative discussions with cross-functional teams to resolve design and performance issues. Execute product testing, validate prototypes, and present project progress to stakeholders using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Travel periodically to manufacturing facilities for prototype fabrication. Requires a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, proficiency in 3D modeling and electrical schematics, and hands-on prototype building experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience
- Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and product development process (Agile/scrum/ stage-gate / NPI)
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Autodesk Inventor or equivalent) and Excel
- Proficiency in reading understanding and generating electrical schematic dwgs.
- Sheet metal design experience
- DFMA design (design for manufacturing & assembly)
- Hands-on prototype building and testing experience
- Highly Variable and modular product design
- Autodesk Vault or equivalent system knowledge
- HVAC / Refrigeration system working knowledge
- BS in Engineering or equivalent
- CAD certificate preferred or min 3 Years (3000 hrs) of hands-on CAD experience
- Domestic travel up to 10% of the time
