Job Summary

Advanced Designer will design complex sub-assemblies and product modules per design intent, considering manufacturability, cost, and time-to-market. Responsibilities include developing and reviewing BOMs for highly engineered products with multiple variations, optimizing costs (sheet metal gauge, labor/material tradeoffs), applying DFMA and Poka-yoke principles, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting prototypes and pilot builds, and loading/editing data in MRP systems (SAP/Oracle). Requires 3+ years CAD experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year experience; CAD tools include 2D AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor/Vault; industry experience in HVAC/refrigeration components is a plus. Travel up to 10% with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office, 2 days remote) in Jessup, MD.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical certificate with 3+ years working experience in 3D design or a Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year experience
  • Associates Degree or equivalent Diploma with CAD certificate preferred or min 3 Years (4000 hrs.) CAD experience
