Job Summary
Oversee children's safety and well-being by monitoring play areas for hazards, assisting with personal hygiene, preparing nutritious meals, and supporting homework. Organize age-appropriate educational activities including reading and crafts while engaging in study periods. Maintain a strict cleaning routine to sanitize surfaces and ensure rooms are left in the same condition as received. Document daily behaviors, meals, and emergencies in detailed records for parents. Provide discipline according to parent protocols and adapt to varying indoor and outdoor work environments. This role supports Residential Babysitting, Event Childcare, and Playcare services in Grande Prairie and surrounding towns.
Required Qualifications
- Babysitter Certification
- minimum of two years experience
- First Aid Level Certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
- Three (3) character references
- Minimum age requirement - 16 years old
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- Adept attention to detail
- Skilled time-management
- Ability to adapt
- Strong reliability
- Advanced organization
- lift up to 50lbs (25kg) occasionally
- work outdoors for activities from time to time
