Job Summary
Prepare lesson plans and schemes of work adhering to Swim England Frameworks, while managing class registrations and weekly continuous assessments for children and adults across all swim stages. Set up and organize equipment throughout sessions, ensuring proper storage, and adapt to the water as needed to support diverse lesson delivery. Mentor ASA and Level 1 Assistant Swimming Teachers, uphold GDPR and Safeguarding policies, and refer child safeguarding concerns immediately. This role supports Lampton Leisure's mission to provide inclusive, safe environments for all ages and abilities in West London.
Required Qualifications
- ASA/Swim England or SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification
- SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming, or STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming and STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming qualification
- Experience of working in a comparable role
- Experience of delivering first class customer service to a diverse client base
- Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation and procedure, and the ability to exercise these in the workplace
- Excellent communication skills, including listening, questioning, and delivering effective feedback, and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers, children, their parent, and school officials
- Satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
