Job Summary
Lead business analysis and subject matter expertise for Databricks implementation within the Finance Transformation, working with Group Finance and data teams to identify use cases for data pipelines, advanced analytics, and scenario analysis. Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria while assessing platform options against the Finance technology strategy. Define Finance processes, develop business cases with benefit and cost analysis, and coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure alignment with target architecture. Contribute to the Databricks operating model and support prioritization within the Finance Transformation roadmap.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as Business Analyst or SME in Finance, data or analytics projects
- Good understanding of Finance / Group Finance processes
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
- Ability to analyse solution options and build business cases in a clear, structured way
- Structured, analytical and solution oriented mindset
- Ability to simplify complexity and communicate clearly to non technical audiences
- Experience working in complex, global programmes, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector
- Strong collaboration skills and a 'one team' attitude, supporting both Finance and IT colleagues
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Desired Qualifications
- Practical experience with data platforms or analytics environments
- hands on exposure to Databricks
- Familiarity with concepts such as data pipelines, data modelling, data products, and analytics/BI
- Experience working with IT / data engineering teams on shared solutions
