Job Summary
Internship position at JRI’s Intensive Foster Care Program focused on providing care and support to children in foster care and their families. Responsibilities include collaborating with youth and foster parents utilizing strength-based and needs-driven approaches. The role requires a passion for helping others, strong communication skills, and an interest in social justice. Candidates must be pursuing a degree in mental health, social work, or related fields, with a preference for familiarity with trauma informed treatment. Supervision from licensed staff will be provided to aid in clinical growth towards degree completion.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum working towards a Bachelor’s degree or above in the mental health field/social work/human services/counseling
- Interest in working with children/adolescents
- Good written and oral communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with trauma informed models of treatment
