Job Summary
B Level Service Technician responsible for understanding and completing routine repairs on customer vehicles, including light engine work, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems, HVAC, steering & suspension, and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities include performing diagnostics, using multi-point inspection forms, documenting work on repair orders, communicating with service advisors about additional work, maintaining proficiency per Asbury standards, conducting road tests when needed, completing warranty-related paperwork, ensuring vehicles are returned clean, and adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes applying manufacturer training and certifications, participating in ongoing training programs, and maintaining CSI customer satisfaction targets. Ideal candidates will have automotive technician experience, be able to provide or possess basic tools, and demonstrate strong technical/mechanical skills and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- ASE certifications heavily preferred
- Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred
- Previous automotive technician experience required
- Must have basic tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test)
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
- Team player with ability to work on complex tasks
- Great technical and mechanical skills
- Comply with federal, state and local laws and company policy
- Safety and quality focus including handling hazardous materials per OSHA Right-to-Know
- CSI standards for customer satisfaction and service quality
