Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, diagnosing causes of malfunctions and executing repairs. Communicate with the parts department for needed components, save and tag parts under warranty or per customer request, and examine vehicles for additional safety or service needs. Document all performed and recommended work on the repair order, road test vehicles when required, and supervise apprentice technicians as assigned. Maintain dealership tools, manuals, and shop cleanliness while complying with federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste and safety. Report machinery defects, safety issues, and any changes to vehicle condition immediately to the service advisor or management. Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stay current with technical bulletins.
