Conduct body shop repairs by restoring frame and unibody vehicles to manufacturer specifications using proper techniques and equipment. Remove and replace sheet metal, glass, and cosmetic parts; straighten damaged panels; and bench vehicles for pulls. Measure and document vehicle dimensions, maintain corrosion protection, and ensure smooth shop flow. Keep Estimator, Writer, and Production Manager updated on job status and alert them to unusual problems. Coordinate with Parts Department to order, deliver, and return unused parts. Provide own compatible tools and maintain a clean, safe work area. This physically demanding role involves standing six to eight hours per shift, lifting up to 70 pounds, and exposure to noise, vibration, dust, and hazardous materials.
