B Lineman - Transmission (AEP)

Construct and repair electrical transmission systems, including installing overhead lines, poles, insulators, and conductors. Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and tensioners while climbing wood, steel, and concrete structures. Perform maintenance on energized and de-energized powerlines, adhering to strict safety protocols, switching procedures, and grounding requirements. Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. Maintain readiness for outages, storms, and emergencies, including on-call rotation and long-distance travel.
