B.13 IT Hardware Management Specialist (Level 1)[Reliability]

Job Summary
Manage IT asset lifecycles using ITIL processes, including receiving shipments, validating against packing slips, tagging, tracking, and updating databases. Perform warehousing, inventory management, and secure storage of hardware, then ship assets to service centers or users. Execute physical inventories, triage equipment, and sanitize hard drives via shredding. Monitor stock levels to initiate client requests, coordinate asset audits, and drive a minivan in the Gatineau/Ottawa region. Lift and move equipment up to 25lbs while liaising with internal and external clients. Maintain process mapping and documentation for deliverables. Work on-site Monday through Friday between 8:00 and 16:00 hours, with availability for extended hours, and hold a valid Reliability security clearance.
Required Qualifications

- Minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years of the management of IT desktop assets in several phases of the IT Asset Management life cycle (end to end) using ITIL processes
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years in two (2) or more of the following in an IT Asset Management environment: Asset tagging & tracking and database updates throughout lifecycle via databases or generic mailboxes, Warehousing / inventory management / physical control (secure storage), Receive shipments of IT Assets, validate against packing slips and update databases
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills by gaining a minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years in the following areas: Liaise with internal and external clients and service providers
- Valid Reliability security clearance certificate
- Availability to work extended hours
- Valid driver's licence
- Experience with verifying goods and/or services as received, as well as reviewing/verifying invoices/ packing slips for accuracy to rectify discrepancies
- Experience with the shipment /delivery of IT Asset stock to service centres, users or regional deployment centres
- Hands-on experience using an IT Asset management system/database for updates, reporting and monitoring stock levels
- Hands-on experience with coordinating and completing IT Asset reviews/audits on behalf of the division
- Hands-on experience processing, developing and/or maintaining process mapping and documentation for IT Hardware Management deliverables
- Experience working with MS-Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
