Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer to lead the rearchitecture of a monolithic payment system into a cloud-native microservices architecture using Kubernetes. Responsibilities include designing and implementing microservices with domain-driven design principles, leveraging Kubernetes for container orchestration, implementing robust monitoring and alerting, ensuring high availability and scalable performance, evaluating new tools and frameworks, and mentoring junior engineers. Requires extensive Kubernetes experience, 7+ years of software engineering, 5+ years in cloud-native rearchitecture, proficiency in Java/Python/Node.js, DevOps/CI/CD expertise, and experience with major cloud platforms and payment-domain practices. Fully remote for US citizens (USC only) with W2 or 1099 employment options.
Required Qualifications
- Strong Kubernetes(K8S) experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience in rearchitecting large-scale monolithic applications to cloud-native architectures
- 5+ years of experience programming in languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js, and experience with modern framework and libraries
- 3+ years of experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tool
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in payment domain
- 3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including experience with serverless architectures, containers, and orchestration
- 2+ years of experience with payment industry standards, protocols, and security best practices
