Azure Identity Operations Engineer

Job Summary
Maintain Azure AD App Registrations, Enterprise Applications, and Service Principals while configuring permissions, consent models, and managed identities. Monitor Conditional Access policies, analyze sign-in logs, and resolve access issues. Operate Azure AD Application Proxy connectors for secure remote access and troubleshoot authentication flows involving SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect. Develop PowerShell or Python scripts to automate routine operations and document resolution steps for Tier 2/3 escalations. Create runbooks and SOPs for team knowledge sharing. Collaborate with security, network, and application teams to resolve identity incidents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 3+ years focused on Azure AD/Entra ID identity and access management
- Experience managing App Registrations, Enterprise Applications, and Service Principals
- Hands-on experience supporting Conditional Access policies (MFA, device compliance, risk-based access)
- Experience maintaining Application Proxy connectors and troubleshooting connectivity
- Understanding of SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and Bearer Tokens
- Ability to troubleshoot authentication issues using sign-in logs and tools like Postman
- Basic proficiency in PowerShell or Python for automation
- Experience deploying and maintaining Azure AD App Proxy connectors
- Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management)
- Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, SC-300, AZ-500)
- Experience in global/multinational environments
- Excellent English communication skills - both written and verbal.
