Job Summary
Azure IaaS Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and transitioning a government customer to Microsoft Azure; provides operational support and service delivery for managed enterprise services, including assessment, engineering, and modernization of Windows and Azure systems; leads stakeholder meetings, develops project documentation, and supports risk management; deploys IaaS resources via Terraform and ensures security, cost considerations, and cross-domain coordination.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS + 8 years of applicable experience
- 5 or more years of relevant Microsoft Azure IaaS engineering and support
- ITIL Foundation certification (not required to start but expected to attain in first six months)
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems deployed in Azure (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
- Strong scripting and PowerShell skills
- Experience building, configuring, hardening Windows servers
- Experience managing the Azure platform using Intune
- Advanced experience with Azure Active Directory management & administration
- Ability to deploy and manage IaaS resources via Terraform (Infrastructure as code)
