Job Summary
Conduct high-volume infrastructure support and SRE operations in customer-facing environments using Python, Java, and Shell scripting. Design, deploy, and monitor systems with Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, and Grafana while managing distributed systems, databases, and configuration tools like Terraform and Ansible. Drive architectural improvements by identifying gaps in processes and technology choices, collaborating with product delivery teams to ensure smooth feature deployment. Leverage deep expertise in Kubernetes, Jenkins, and cloud platforms including Azure and GCP to solve complex networking and storage issues.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience supporting infrastructure or as SRE in a high volume of customer-facing environment
- Strong SRE background & skills with solid coding experience in Python or JAVA
- Strong knowledge in distributed systems and systems design
- Experience with Unix/Linux systems with scripting experience in Shell & Python
- Strong knowledge of core protocols and tech such as: TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, load balancers, distributed file systems, key-value and relational databases
- Extensive experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Terraform or Ansible
- Capable of technical deep-dives into code, networking, systems, and storage
- Expertise in problem solving and analysing highly distributed systems
- Logging and Monitoring experience designing, deploying and running systems like Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, Grafana or other APM solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to influence architectural and process level change in the organization
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong experience with Kubernetes
- Extensive experience in designing and implementation of continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous deployment through Jenkins
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with specific software such as Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, and similar technologies
- Cloud experience in OpenStack, Azure or GCP
