Job Summary
ETL Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration processes using Python (PySpark) and Azure Synapse Analytics to ensure accurate and accessible analytical data. Collaborates with data scientists and analysts, builds data models and schemas, implements data quality checks, tunes performance for SLA compliance, and documents data flows and transformations. Applies expertise in data warehousing (star schemas, facts, dimensions), REST APIs, SQL databases, and data fabric concepts (data lakes, lakehouses, data cataloging). Proficient with Azure Synapse Notebooks and Pipelines, big data technologies, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau); engages in collaboration across cross-functional teams with a focus on security, governance, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience, with certifications related to data engineering or data science (e.g. Azure Data Engineer) being a plus.
