Job Summary
Azure Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL data pipelines using Python (PySpark) and Azure Synapse Analytics to ensure accurate and available analytical data. Responsibilities include data warehousing design (star schemas, facts, dimensions), extracting data from REST APIs, SQL databases, and CSV files, building scalable notebooks/pipelines in Azure Synapse, implementing data quality checks, monitoring ETL jobs, performance tuning to meet SLAs, documenting data flows and transformations, and collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders while ensuring data security and governance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience, with certifications related to data engineering or data science (e.g. Azure Data Engineer) being a plus.
