Job Summary
Senior Associate, Azure Data Engineer at PwC Canada responsible for designing and building data solutions on Azure, including Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Event Hub, and Blob Storage. Develop scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and curation/normalisation; implement data quality checks, error handling, and monitoring; apply data modelling and data warehouse concepts; troubleshoot deployment; collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders; support pre-sales activities and RFP responses; contribute to knowledge sharing; certifications (DP-203, Fabric Analytics Engineer, Databricks) preferred; hybrid work environment in Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Hands-on experience with Azure data services: Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hub, Blob Storage
- Proficiency in SQL and Python; strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes
- Hands-on experience with Power BI
