Job Summary
Transport loaded and empty trailers from GFS Distribution Centers or point-to-point via night transit in a timely manner, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient deliveries. Perform daily pre/post trip inspections, monitor reefer temperatures, and report mechanical issues immediately. Collaborate with supervisors, dispatchers, and sales representatives to manage work assignments and address customer concerns. Complete daily check-ins and paperwork accurately, including register and credit tracking. Maintain a positive image for Gordon Food Service while operating refrigerated vans in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid AZ driver's license with a clean commercial driver's abstract
- Valid Class 1 license
- A minimum of 2 years of AZ driving experience
- Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditions

- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and also function in a team environment
- Goal oriented with a positive can-do attitude
- Ability to meet the physical demands of this job including lifting, pushing, pulling of product
- Must be available for night transit shifts (Sun/Mon/Wed/Thurs Night Shifts | 3:30-5:30 PM starting time)
- Must be able to operate GFS equipment in a professional and safe manner demonstrating attention to detail, safe work habits, and working knowledge of refrigerated van
