Job Summary
AZ Driver - Night responsible for operating commercial vehicles (flatbed/roll-off/tractor trailers) to transport construction products in Southern Ontario (primarily GTA), performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, loading/unloading cargo with proper equipment, planning efficient routes, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining records of driving hours and deliveries, coordinating with dispatch and customers, and providing professional customer service while upholding company safety standards and vehicle maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid AZ Driver’s Licence with a clean driving abstract
- Ability to provide a current and valid CVOR
- Must be able to safely operate trucks with a manual (Standard transmission)
- Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain up-to-date knowledge of routes throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently
- High level of professionalism with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Self-motivated, punctual, reliable, and highly safety conscious
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules, as well as the ability to work in all weather conditions
- Solid understanding of load securement principles and practices
- Experience assisting with manual labour and physically demanding tasks
