Job Summary
Respond to environmental and industrial spills, clandestine laboratory decommissioning, highway incidents, marine fuel spills, and weather events involving wind, ice storms, forest fires, and flooding. Transport, remove, deliver, and collect liquid and solid hazardous wastes from customer sites while loading and unloading trucks. Operate vacuum trucks, box trucks, and other equipment including boom deployment and boat operations for marine incidents. Work alongside police, fire, EMS, and Environment Canada during incidents involving heavy equipment and chemical assessments. Perform routine vehicle maintenance, complete work-related documentation, and adhere to Occupational Health & Safety Act and Ontario Human Rights Code. Maintain a safe work environment free of harassment while reporting hazards and accidents. Requires valid AZ license with manual transmission experience, ability to lift 75+ lbs, and availability for overtime, weekend work, and on-call emergency responses.
Required Qualifications
- Valid AZ licence
- Suitable drivers abstract
- Experience operating manual transmission
