Job Summary
Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight and cargo across designated routes in the Dryden area, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining safety standards. Load and unload trucks for deliveries, manage time-sensitive requirements, and perform vehicle inspections. You will deliver to and pick up from customers, operate dispatch systems and electronic logging devices, and adhere to DOT regulations and compliance requirements. Minimum 2 years of verifiable linehaul or long-haul driving experience is required, along with a valid Commercial Driver's License and a clean driving record. Some flexibility in availability will occasionally be required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) appropriate for the jurisdiction, with a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable linehaul or long-haul driving experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety protocols and defensive driving techniques
- Proficiency in time management and route planning
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to operate dispatch systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Physical capability to perform loading, unloading, and vehicle inspection tasks
- Professional demeanour and customer service orientation
