Job Summary
Local City P&D Driver responsible for delivering to and picking up from customers in the Dryden area, loading/unloading the truck, and meeting time-sensitive requirements. Must operate in compliance with DOT regulations, utilize dispatch systems and ELDs, and maintain safety and professionalism in a fast-paced logistics environment. Requires a CDL with a clean record and at least 2 years of verifiable linehaul or long-haul driving experience. Hazmat endorsement or specialized cargo handling is preferred, as is experience with freight management systems and logistics coordination. Offers include a guaranteed minimum hourly rate with potential to exceed CAD 100,000 per year, sign-on bonus of CAD 5,000, and a CAD 3,600 living allowance for one year, plus moving assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) appropriate for the jurisdiction, with a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable linehaul or long-haul driving experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety protocols and defensive driving techniques
- Proficiency in time management and route planning
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to operate dispatch systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Physical capability to perform loading, unloading, and vehicle inspection tasks
- Professional demeanour and customer service orientation
- Preferred: Hazmat endorsement or specialized cargo handling experience
