Job Summary
Create and coordinate visual content for Residence Life, including official flyers, marketing materials, and social media assets. Shoot and edit high-quality video using production equipment, while managing a digital file database for long-term content storage. Pitch visual concepts and engage with students to capture authentic campus stories, acting as a representative for the office. Develop social media tactics in relation to the Marketing and Communications Office and integrate short-form video into broader marketing strategies. This student employee role supports the Residence Life Team during the 2026-2027 academic year, with specific move-in and training schedules defined for September.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a degree program at St. Olaf College during the academic year and maintain good standing in academics and conduct.
- Must maintain a cumulative/semester GPA of 2.5
- Students should have no pending cases, active sanctions, and/or resolved cases that would prevent effective performance as student staff members.
- Ability to act with discretion and exercise proper professional etiquette as it pertains to confidential information.
- Demonstrated experience in photography, including knowledge of camera operation, composition, lighting, and basic photo editing.
- Proficiency with photography equipment (DSLR or mirrorless cameras) and familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Lightroom and/or Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage photo files and meet deadlines for event coverage.
- Experience in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
