Job Summary

Receive, sort, and distribute physical mail and documents while managing office email accounts and scheduling meetings. Support data entry, create department files, and coordinate housing assignments and billing for room, board, and damage charges. Act as a liaison between supervisors and residents to address behavioral concerns, manage card access systems, and oversee fire drills and facility walk-throughs. Hire, train, and supervise employees for assigned residence halls, conduct performance evaluations, and coordinate sustainability initiatives. Work collaboratively with Housing Operations to correct behaviors of concern and manage office supplies and storage programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a degree program at St. Olaf College during the academic year and maintain good standing in academics and conduct
  • Must maintain a cumulative/semester GPA of 2.5
  • Students should have no pending cases, active sanctions, and/or resolved cases that would prevent effective performance as student staff members
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Google Suite is required
  • Ability to act with discretion and exercise proper professional etiquette as it pertains to confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management

  • Willingness to learn campus safety and crisis escalation protocols
  • Basic customer service skills to assist residents with inquiries
