Job Summary
AWS Platform Architect role for a Weekday client in Hyderabad focused on designing and leading production systems on AWS. Responsibilities include creating reference architectures using VPCs, ALB/NLB, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/Aurora, OpenSearch, CloudFront, Route 53; building resilient, multi-AZ, cross-region DR with defined RTO/RPO; enforcing security-by-design with IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, VPC endpoints/PrivateLink, WAF/Shield, GuardDuty, Security Hub; developing GenAI solutions on AWS Bedrock with LangGraph for RAG workflows, model invocation, guardrails, knowledge bases, and integrating with other AWS services; building GenAI microservices with observability, CI/CD, and automated testing; leading IaC and CI/CD pipelines (AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation; CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps); establishing observability standards (CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenTelemetry), defining SLOs and error budgets; performance and cost optimization (load testing, auto-scaling, TCO, Savings Plans, Graviton); leadership and cross-functional collaboration, mentoring engineers, and aligning roadmaps with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience designing and building production systems on AWS, with at least 3 years in an architect or technical lead role
- Experience delivering scalable, highly available, and resilient services employing multi-AZ and cross-Region patterns and disaster recovery strategies with defined RTO/RPO
- Expertise in development using programming languages such as TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or Java
- Hands-on experience delivering Generative AI solutions on Amazon Bedrock including RAG, Knowledge Bases, and integration with enterprise data sources
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, testing, and observability
- Must-have: AWS Architecture, AWS Bedrock
- Soft skills: executive-level communication, technical leadership, stakeholder management, product-oriented mindset
- Experience with SageMaker JumpStart, OpenSearch, pgvector (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with security, compliance standards (SOC2, PCI, ISO 27001), DLP, data residency requirements
- Migration or modernization projects from monoliths to microservices or on-prem to AWS
