Job Summary
Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to design, automate and optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines while ensuring applications are highly available, scalable, secure and cost-efficient. Hands-on with AWS services, automation frameworks, and DevOps best practices; mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CodePipeline) and support containerized workloads (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes). Implement observability, monitoring and logging solutions; troubleshoot performance and reliability; automate provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and security. Ensure security, governance, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC 2) and IAM best practices. Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA to ensure smooth releases; experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and Python/Bash; familiarity with ArgoCD, Helm, and deployment workflows. Preference for AWS certifications and DoD Public Trust considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field (Additional Four years may be used in lieu of degree)
- Minimum four (4) years of IT infrastructure experience
- At least three (3) years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation
- Expertise in AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM)
- Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CodePipeline) and artifact management
- Experience with containerized workloads (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes)
- Experience with observability, monitoring and logging (CloudWatch, X-Ray, or third‐party tools)
- Knowledge of security, governance, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC 2)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Strong development background in Python or Bash
- Experience with ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform templates, and deployment automation
- Ability to mentor and collaborate with team members
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship; U.S. citizens or permanent residents preferred
