Job Summary
Role: AWS Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale data platforms on AWS. Hands-on engineering to build and optimize pipelines using AWS Glue, EMR, Lambda, and Step Functions; design data storage with S3, Redshift, RDS, and DynamoDB; develop ETL/ELT pipelines with PySpark, SQL, and Python; implement data governance, cataloging, and lineage with secure IAM policies and Lake Formation; optimize performance and cost for batch and real-time processing; collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams; mentor engineers and drive architecture end-to-end; lead legacy migration from on-prem to AWS and modernization efforts; create reusable reporting components and dashboards using QuickSight; design modular AI agent templates and workflow components; contribute to Quick Suite (QuickSight, Quick Chat, Quick Flows) and AI-powered reporting frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of overall experience with 5-7 years in AWS Data Architecture
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS data services: S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, Lake Formation
- Strong SQL and Python for data pipelines; PySpark experience
- Experience designing lakehouse architectures, data modeling (dimensional and normalized), metadata/cataloging
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Analytics Specialty)
- Experience with data governance frameworks / regulatory compliance
- Background in large enterprise transformations
