AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Summary
Communicate architectural decisions, drive end-to-end service lifecycles from design through operations, and lead legacy application migrations to microservices on AWS. Establish cloud-native automation capabilities using Terraform, Ansible, and Python to improve developer experience while automating patching, upgrades, and maintenance. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, monitor system stability across network and security layers, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance software delivery efficiency. Mentor peers and socialize engineering solutions while leveraging EKS, service mesh, and immutable infrastructure to build fault-tolerant systems. Requires 10+ years of IT experience, 5+ years in AWS, and at least one active AWS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience
- at least 5 years in AWS Cloud
- SME-level expertise in platform engineering and administration
- hands-on EKS-based provisioning via automation
- Minimum one active AWS certification
- Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS services: VPC, Networking, Direct Connect, Subnets, NACLs, Security Groups, EC2, S3, IAM, ELBs, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, EKS
- Hands-on experience with Terraform
- Hands-on experience with Ansible playbooks
- Hands-on experience with Python (Boto3/Lambda functions)
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with CDK
- Proficiency in Linux Bash scripting
- Proficiency in Linux system administration
- 3+ years with Kubernetes/containerization
- experience with DevOps toolchain (Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Solid CI/CD pipeline experience
- IaC/automated provisioning practices
- Experience with SRE principles
