Job Summary
AWS Cloud Network Engineer responsible for design, implementation, and support of Cisco ASR-based on-premises network. Collaborate with the cloud team for deployment of cloud network architecture to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure. Plan, test, and document network posture to ensure proper/secure connectivity within cloud environments and external connections; create and maintain network artifacts such as maps, detailed designs, test plans, operation readiness reports, device configurations, and maintenance procedures. Define technical requirements, develop network architecture, and identify risks with cross-functional teams. Proficient in cloud networking concepts (VPCs, routing, security groups), IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, GitHub), and compliance standards; able to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences and collaborate on security-focused network solutions.
Required Qualifications
- US citizenship or Green Card
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Network Architecture and/or Engineering
- Hands-on experience in Cloud Environment
- Knowledge of cloud networking and routing (VPCs, subnetting, security groups, route tables, peering connections, Direct Connect/Direct Connect Gateway, IPv4, IPv6, dynamic routing, VPN, firewall, Route53, MTIPS, IPSEC)
- Experience with at least one Infrastructure-as-Code tool (Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, GitHub, etc.)
- Working knowledge of federal compliance and security standards
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
