Job Summary
Design and implement secure, reliable file-based data flows in AWS to support a new data exchange platform, configuring storage, access controls, encryption, and third-party vendor connectivity. Establish production-ready data retention, lifecycle management, and archiving policies while developing infrastructure and deployment automation using Terraform. Coordinate with internal cloud support teams to align with enterprise-level AWS organization, networking, and security standards, providing hands-on troubleshooting and knowledge transfer. Document architecture, operational procedures, and the support model for longer-term archival use.
Required Qualifications
- Strong data engineering background, including secure movement and management of large files
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting AWS data solutions
- Experience with Amazon S3, IAM, encryption, lifecycle policies, logging, and cross-account or third-party access
- Experience implementing infrastructure as code, preferably with Terraform
- Ability to work across data engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platform, and external vendor teams
- Comfortable operating in an AWS environment where enterprise governance and tenant-level standards are still being established
- Able to work independently and move quickly in support of a critical implementation
- Familiarity with regulated or sensitive data environments
